Retain

How do you keep what you won?

Winning a customer is the expensive part. This station makes sure the second purchase, the renewal and the referral happen without buying the same person twice.

You are here if

  • Customers buy once and disappear.

  • Churn eats the growth.

  • You sell on marketplaces, blindly.

What we do to keep what you won.

Lifecycle & retention

Email and SMS strategy and build on Klaviyo, Braze, Customer.io

The platform chosen for your stack, set up with segments, flows and templates in the brand voice.

Flows, segmentation, win-back, loyalty programmes

Welcome, post-purchase, replenishment, win-back and loyalty, triggered by behaviour, tested monthly.

Subscription optimisation and churn reduction

Finding the moment customers leave, then fixing that specific leak.

Post-purchase and referral mechanics

The moment after the sale, turned into a reason to buy again and tell someone.

Reviews and user-generated content programmes

Systems that ask for reviews and content at the right moment, then put them to work.

Customer surveys and feedback loops

Short surveys at the right moments, read monthly, so the flows change with what customers say.

How we work this station.

Scroll. The line draws the method.

  1. Find where the funnel leaks

Cohorts, repeat rate, time to second purchase, churn by segment. Before any flow is built, we know which moment loses the most customers.

  2. Build the flows that run themselves

Welcome, post-purchase, win-back, replenishment, referral. Written in the brand voice, segmented on behaviour, tested on subject lines and timing every month.

  3. Own the channels that have their own rules

Amazon, marketplaces, retail and wholesale each need an operator. We run them or train yours, with the listing, pricing and review work that moves rank.

  4. Measure retention as a number, not a feeling

Retention rate, lifetime value and payback period on one dashboard, connected to Measure, so you see what a flow is worth in francs.

What unconventional
looks like here.

The usual way on the left. Ours on the right.

A designed newsletter template with four columns and a hero banner.

Email that reads like a person wrote it

Plain text, one idea, the founder’s name in the from line. Our best-performing flows look like a message, not a newsletter. Open rates follow.

A points programme customers forget they joined.

Referral before loyalty points

Points programmes are expensive and forgettable. A referral mechanic with a reason to talk about you costs less and compounds. We build that first.

All the budget on the first sale, nothing after it.

Treat the second purchase as the launch

Most companies spend everything on the first sale. We put real creative and real budget behind the moment after it, because that is where margin lives.

What you leave with.

Questions about Retain.

What is lifecycle marketing?

Lifecycle marketing is the set of automated, behaviour-triggered messages that move a customer from first purchase to repeat, renewal and referral: email, SMS and in-app, built as flows rather than campaigns.

What is Klaviyo?

Klaviyo is an email and SMS platform built for e-commerce, especially Shopify. Growis builds and runs Klaviyo, Braze and Customer.io depending on the stack and the size of the list.

How do you reduce churn?

By finding the moment it happens. We read cohorts and cancellation reasons, then fix the specific leak: onboarding, a missing replenishment reminder, a price step, a support gap. Generic win-back emails come last.

Do you manage Amazon and marketplaces?

Yes. Listings, advertising, pricing, reviews and inventory signals, for Amazon and the marketplaces relevant to your market, including international expansion with payments, logistics and localisation.

Which email platform should we use?

Klaviyo for Shopify and most e-commerce. Braze or Customer.io for products with app or in-product messaging. We choose in the proposal based on stack, list size and team.

Can you take over an existing Klaviyo account?

Yes. We audit flows, segments and deliverability first, fix what is broken, then rebuild only what needs rebuilding.

How do you measure retention?

Repeat rate, time to second purchase, churn by cohort and lifetime value, on the same dashboard as acquisition, so a flow is worth a number in francs.

Does retention work make sense for B2B?

Yes. Onboarding sequences, renewal reminders, expansion offers and referral asks are lifecycle flows too. The mechanics are the same, the timing is longer.
